In Hungary, mopeds are not registered. I even noticed a trend where Hungarians often cut off the end of the fender with a plate holder. Mine had a reflective light screwed on there In those years, the Polish moped plate looked like in the link below. The first two letters indicate the voivodeship. They were made of various materials: steel sheet, aluminum sheet, thin pressed plastic reinforced with plywood or thick plastic with welded letters. You can buy such a board used or order a replica (interestingly, in Poland this officially carries the risk of imprisonment )

PS. As a curiosity, I'm write down what may seem strange to a foreigner. Your moped is from 1980, this year the most common green plates were issued... which were officially introduced only in 1983. Some offices issued the old pattern as below. But this is just a curiosity, in 1980 they were most often green.

So this rear sticker on my Romet is from Hungary.
Missing mud flap on order.



When it's registered in the UK with the V5c paperwork.
It will probably have a non transferable "W" suffix like ABC 123W and because it's Jan 1980 should display a Reflective yellow reg' plate.

For shows I thought about getting a show plate made that reads 2352W.

Got it's V5c, went through without any problems less than four weeks. They've given it a "V" suffix.

Before I hang up my Spurs I've decided to get a Motorcycle as old as me that I can Exhibit at Steam and Vintage Shows in the UK.
Therefore I'm putting the Romet Komar up for sale.

It all works and I'm only going to do an oily rag resto at the moment and get a V5c Registration document from the DVLA.
