Thats good I wasn't looking forward to dressing up with all that clothing in the Summer.

After searching on the forum I've found 2 owners in the UK and added them to my buddy list. One was last on here in 2016 and the other in 2024.
I will try sending them a PM

"RE: Komar przywrócenie w Anglii
If engine in your Komar is good - you have really less problems with renovation.

Can you tell something about electrics in your Komar? Have you horn under front light? What is broken? Electric diagrams are in google without any problems, but... Maybe we search and solve problems?"

In this link is electric diagram to Komar: http://www.agmot.pl/photos/0/24/e7a3a6831e.jpg . Of course in Polish, but we can help you, no problem Wink.

I have a copy of the electric diagram from the post above, mine is a no horn model 2352w. The wiring is not the same on mine. Could that be why the rear lamp doesn't work when the engine is running and the switch is moved to Lights? The bulb is OK and the wire from the bulb starts grey (may not be original) and joins a black wire which runs in the cable with the red and blue wire from the generator onwards into the headlamp(this is shown in yellow on the WD)
Q
I'm tempted to rewire mine to match the 2330-2352w WD, or get an electrician to have a look. What would you advise.(I have photos of mine as is).
Lance

The electrical installation is very simple. No diagram needed. The ignition switch works diagonally. One of the connectors is double, there is a cable connected to the rear lamp and the switch on the handlebar. There is a wire carrying the motor current diagonally from this connector. The remaining two connectors are used to turn off the engine, one of them is connected to the ignition coil in the engine and the other to ground. The switch on the handlebar has 3 or 4 connectors with small screws. You need to pay attention because there can often be a short circuit there, the ends of the wires should be covered with tin and not protrude. One connector on the side is for the horn, you don't need it. The middle one is the ignition switch wire, the top one is the low beam and the bottom one is the high beam. These wires go to the front bulb (side connectors) and the lower connector next to the bulb is ground. This is the entire installation. If the rear light does not work, in addition to the bulb and the condition of the cable, you should also check the ignition switch contacts to see if the lamp has a good connection to ground. The rear bulb often burns out, but if you use a 12V bulb it will last longer.

Your moped didn't have a horn, only a bicycle bell. Older models had a battery-powered horn, but it is expensive. If you want to have a horn, you need to find an original one from Romet Ogar (or another one for alternating current, it's important) and connect one of its connectors to the switch on the steering wheel and the other to the wire with current from the engine (the one that powers the ignition switch). But such a signal is very weak and does not work when the lights are turned on because there is too little current. If you want, there are CDI electronic ignition kits and then you can install a normal horn.

I'm not fitting an electric horn just a Honk-Honk bulb horn.

On the 2330-2352w WD is the switch and its terminals, a view from the top or from underneath?
Cool

Dzięki

RE: hello - Lancepar - 05-02-2026 16:45:12

Well I don't delieve it, it was the rear bulb not working and it was the first thing I checked.

So sorry to all you guys that I wasted your time trying to help me.facepalm

Now fitted with a 12v bulb as recommended.

Looking forward to getting it exhibited at shows.

Bye

RE: hello - romek - 05-02-2026 18:28:11

No problem Smile you'll probably have a lot of questions, Polish mopeds were of terrible quality and something always needs to be repaired.

RE: hello - Lancepar - 08-02-2026 17:17:43

At shows i would like to display a suitable 1980 Polish or Hungarian rear number plate, any photos links?.

Currently waiting UK registration V5c with the DVLA so I can legally ride it on UK roads, fingers crossed.

Is it OK to continue chatting on this thread?

Cool
